What we haul in Providence

Triple-deckers and walk-ups

A lot of Providence housing is triple-deckers and I don't charge extra for stairs, which means narrow stairs, third-floor walk-ups, and basements and attics that have filled up over years of tenants. We carry everything down from any floor, whether it's one room, one unit, or a whole building.

Landlords and student move-outs

We turn over apartments for landlords and property managers between tenants, and we clear out off-campus rentals near Brown, RISD, Providence College, and Johnson & Wales at the end of the semester. If you're moving out in May, book early, since everyone near the colleges is trying to clear out the same weeks.

Homes, estates, and single items

We do full estate cleanouts, where we work on your family's schedule and set aside anything that looks personal. We also empty offices and storage units, and we pick up single items: furniture, appliances including refrigerators, mattresses and box springs, and bigger things like hot tubs, pianos, and sheds.

We work all over the city, including Federal Hill, the West End, College Hill, Fox Point, Mount Pleasant, and Elmhurst, and in East Providence, Pawtucket, and Cranston next door. We're family-owned and fully insured, and we've been in business since 2018. Between donation, recycling, and waste-to-energy, 90% of what we haul stays out of landfills. Veterans get 15% off.

How it works

  1. Call us or send the form, and tell us what needs to go and which floor it's on.
  2. Ryan, the owner, comes out and gives you a price based on how much room your items take up in the truck. The estimate is free, and the price includes labor and disposal.
  3. Once you say yes, we carry everything out and haul it away. You can pay by credit card, PayPal, Zelle, check, or cash.

Providence's bulky item pickup

The city picks up bulky items at the curb for free, with limits. You can schedule up to three items per unit through Waste Management or by calling 311, and they have to be at the curb the night before. The city won't come into your home or yard, and buildings with more than six units aren't covered at all.

Mattresses have their own rules. Curbside pickup costs extra, and the mattress has to be clean and sealed in a clear mattress bag. Or you can drop off two unbagged mattresses for free on Saturday mornings at the Public Works yard on Allens Avenue with a Providence ID. Electronics are picked up for free by appointment, and small amounts of drywall or lumber from a household project can go in your trash cart if the lid still closes. Tires and paint aren't picked up at all. The city's bulky item page and mattress page have the current details.

The city service works if you have three things or fewer and can get them to the curb yourself. Call us when it's more than that: a third-floor apartment, a whole unit between tenants, a building with more than six units, a renovation's worth of debris, or a mattress that's wet or torn. We take wet mattresses too, for an extra charge.

Common questions

Can you handle third-floor walk-ups?

Yes. Stairs and tight hallways come with a lot of Providence jobs. Tell us the floor when you book so we can plan for it.

Do I need to bring anything down to the curb?

No. We carry things out from wherever they are, so you don't have to move anything before we get there.

Can you clear a unit after the tenant has moved out?

Yes, as long as someone can let us in. We can't go inside without someone there, but if everything is already outside, we can take it without anyone home.

What can't you take?

Hazardous materials such as paint, fuel, and chemicals, for safety and legal reasons. Rhode Island residents can drop those off for free at the state's Eco-Depot events, which need an appointment.
